The Open Canoe Association of Great Britain

Kringelfieber is the name of the annual meeting for all paddlers interested in American Freestyle and/or Canadian Style Paddling open canoes. The aim of Kringelfieber is to meet in a pleasant and open atmosphere, paddle together and learn from each other, and of course - have fun! There are no fees because the organisers only provide the boundary conditions of the meeting by setting the time and date and by reserving an area on the campground. Other than that, everybody is self supporting, free and self responsible. Kringelfieber is an event by paddlers and for paddlers, and it lives from the contribution of the participants.

Kringelfieber 2010 will take place on the weekend of Ascension Day, i.e. fom Wednesday 12th (arrival day) to Sunday 16th May 2010 (departure day). Like in the past years, we will be staying at Camping- und Ferienpark Teichmann on the Edersee in Hessen/Germany.

There will be a comprehensive programme again, covering all facets of Style paddling - be it solo or tandem, beginner, experienced or expert - and of course there will be a childrens' course as well! This year we will focus the programme on Style paddling technique and allow more time for all those other nice activities that develop when likeminded people meet in a relaxed atmosphere. E.g. sleep, talk, play, read, meet, discuss, practice, give or receive coaching, study, massage, carve, cook, bake...

Participation at Kringelfieber is free of charge. Everybody pays their own accomodation and provides their own food. For the reservation of the camping I am asking everybody interested to register via the REGISTRATION FORM.
Registered participants will receive a confirmation of their registration by e-mail and extra information about the programme etc. in due time before the Kringelfieber.
