OCA white water improvers

For two days at the beginning of April five intrepid paddlers braved ice and snow to sharpen existing skills and hopefully learn some new ones as they took part in the OCA White Water Improvers course in the Peak District.
New BCU Safety Courses

The BCU has announced the new system of safety courses for all paddlers. Following on from the revision of the UK coaching scheme, they have updated the syllabi to create a three tier system plus two addtional modules for sea kayakers. Some of the first candidates were put through the system at this year's CanoeFest.
